These gunflints are made in a traditional way but then I grind the tops and bottoms so they are flat to lock in the jaws nice.  I have tested over 100 kinds of stone and although not traditional like the english and french this will preform as well.

Texas has many flint sources but I find I like these as one of two, I like the best
